Join Perry Chen to create an immersive site-specific installation in an abandoned, soon-to-be repurposed space. Work independently and collectively to explore creative and innovative approaches to the altering of space and mood through aesthetic transformation using existing objects, light and sound.
The workshop will run from 1-5pm, with a public opening of the installation from 5:30-7:30pm.

This class is limited to 10 participants, 18 yrs or older. Once you are registered, the coordinator will contact you with the site location. It is on the south side of Chicago near public transportation.
Perry Chen is an artist based in New York City. He has exhibited his artwork in New York City, Berlin and most recently Mexico City, where he exhibited LUNAR, a site-specific installation in an abandoned theater using video, light, and sound. Perry is also the creator of Kickstarter and co-founder of the Southfirst gallery in Brooklyn, New York. In 2013 he was named to Time Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
